Good nutrition in childhood changes everything

The habits children build around food now will stay with them for life. But with busy family schedules, picky eaters, school pressures and a constant noise of conflicting advice, it can feel impossible to know where to start — or where it’s gone wrong.

Whether your child is a determined non-eater, you’re worried about their energy levels, weight, or concentration at school, or you simply want the whole family eating better — this is the place to start.

“It’s not about getting children to eat perfectly. It’s about building a relationship with food they’ll carry with them forever.”

Sessions are always attended by a parent or carer and child together. There is no pressure, no clinical atmosphere, just warm, practical conversations that work for your family’s real life.

Who better to talk to about children and food?

Emma is a mum of three, a secondary school–trained educator with 13 years working in schools, and a football coach to her son’s team. She has spent more time around children and families than almost anyone in clinical practice — and that shows in every session.

This isn’t a nutritionist trying to apply adult frameworks to children. It’s someone who genuinely understands how children think, how families work, and how to make advice actually stick at home.

What we can work on together

Every family is different. Sessions are always tailored to what’s actually going on for your child and your household — not a one-size-fits-all programme.

Fuelling children and teenagers who play sport regularly — before, during and after training and matches.

🧠

Building good habits early

Helping children understand and enjoy food in a positive, shame-free way that sets them up for life.

How sessions work

All sessions with children are attended by a parent or carer throughout — this is always a family appointment, never a child-only session. This means advice is practical and immediately actionable at home, and your child never feels put on the spot. For family meal planning, sessions can be just the adult who leads the shopping and cooking if that works better for you.
