How to fill this in well
Be specific about portions — e.g. "2 slices wholemeal toast", "200ml semi-skimmed milk", "large handful of pasta"
Include everything — sauces, dressings, cooking oils, sugar in drinks, supplements and medications
Record drinks — tea, coffee (with milk/sugar amounts), water, alcohol, juice, fizzy drinks
Note brands where relevant — e.g. "Warburtons wholemeal" or "Alpro oat milk"
Be honest — there are no right or wrong answers. The more accurate your diary, the better your plan
Record how you felt — hunger before eating, fullness after, energy levels and mood all help build the picture
